chuckCharles Larson is a Professor of the Department of Communications Sciences and Disorders at Northwestern University. He received his PhD from the University of Washington in Speech and Hearing Sciences. His main research interest is in neural mechanisms controlling the voice. In his spare time, he enjoys woodworking, canoeing, hiking, and camping.

Rosemary Lester-Smith is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Feinberg School of Medicine. She received her PhD in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Neuroscience from the University of Arizona and her MA in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Indiana University. She is a certified speech-language pathologist and has worked in various clinical settings, primarily evaluating and treating patients with voice and swallowing disorders. Her research focuses on characterization and treatment of neurogenic voice disorders including vocal tremor.

jayJason Kim is a PhD student in the CSD Department. He received a B.S. in Neuroscience & Behavioral Biology from Emory University. His research interests include vocal control and cognitive modulation of sensorimotor interactions. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, learning guitar, and trying new restaurants.

allisonAllison Hilger is a PhD student in the CSD Department. She recently completed her Master’s at Purdue and is a certified speech-language pathologist. Her research interests include auditory processing in child development and speech motor control in various communication disorders. In her free time, she enjoys biking along the lakefront, playing with her nephews, and reading.
